Paladin Guide

Paladins are Holy Knights, capable of being powerful healers, unstoppable tanks, or incredible DPS. The Paladin is a combination of melee fighting and spell casting. They wear mail armor until level 40, when they are able to give up the mail for plate, granting them more armor and survivability. Paladins also bring phenomenal buffs to a party or raid, which is why they are highly sought after for every group compilation.

Leveling a paladin can be very fun. With the choice of being a healer, a tank, or a DPS class, it rarely ever gets boring. Leveling a Paladin also gives you a chance to try out healing or tanking if you have never done so. At a lower level, almost any spec has the ability to tank still so long as he or she has a sword and shield.

A good Paladin leveling guide is recommended as always, which will greatly increase your leveling process, as well as help you to better understand your class and role. While leveling a paladin, there are a few professions I would recommend that you level. Blacksmithing and Mining is one option. If you level blacksmithing while leveling a paladin you benefit from good gear you craft.

Another profession choice while leveling a paladin is mining/jewelcrafting. Jewelcrafting will allow your paladin to make 3 incredible gems for yourself, better than anything you can purchase.

Enchanting is another good option, since enchanters are able to enchant their rings at a higher level. 30 stamina on each ring as a tank, or 40 attack power per each ring as a Retribution paladin makes a pretty big difference.

Level 80 paladin PvP is an enjoyable experience on its own. Either spec is fun in battlegrounds. Most classes dread running into a Retribution Paladin. Holy Paladins seem almost impossible to kill when well geared. And Protection Paladins can be a nightmare to take down if they have a healer nearby.
