80 Rogue PvP

Level 80 rogue pvp is considered to be the most over powered class in the game.  This is partially true.  80 rogue pvp can be considered over powered, but only for the extremely well geared rogue.  Have you run into a newly turned 80 rogue pvp?  Not so intimidating.  Sure, they can still stun you till next spring but they hit about
as hard as my great grandmother.

So how do you surpass this problem if you are one of these newly 80 rogues?  How do you become a threat on the battlefield?  Rule #1 : A great rogue pvp guide!  I cannot stress this enough.  If you do not know the correct rotations to use, what spec to use, what poisons to apply, which gems to buy, and what enchants, you WILL be one of those rogues on the battlefield that is just sad to see.

80 rogue pvp, you are supposed to be a hidden threat.  Making all competitors keep peeking over their shoulders in fear that you might be behind them.  The best rogue PVP guide I have seen is Dugi's Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide. Dugi's Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide has compiled all of the best 80 rogue pvp information into one convenient online interactive website. 

This site contains a huge archive of pvp videos that breakdown 80 rogue pvp situations and explain them.  They also have thousands of competitive pvp players to add advice to help you become the threat in the shadows that you should be.

A rogue pvp guide will also help you to find the best spec for you.  Granted, all rogue specs are viable in pvp, but some are better than others for 80 roue pvp.  But some are slightly better than others.  Some 80 rogue pvp specs have more
survivability than others, while some produce slightly higher dps.  Some, like assassination, specialize more in poisons which can be a nightmare for healers and plate wearers.

80 rogue pvp as assassination is currently my personal favorite.  A lot of rogue pvp guide would agree with me.  The capability to apply hard to remove poisons can cause havoc in arenas as healers waste multiple global cooldowns trying to dispell them. The time spent attempting to dispell just allows you more time to deal damage.  Along with mutilate, assasination can make you a great assett to any arena team.  But as mentioned earlier, all rogue specs are viable for 80 rogue pvp.

Subtlety is also another viable 80 rogue pvp spec.  Adding a lot more survivability tricks than assassination, and also the ability to use ambush or sap while unstealthed, subtlety rogues are a nuasance to deal with.  Hard to bring down, and even harder to get away from, this 80 rogue pvp spec was extremely popular in the burning crusade.  This spec still remains popular, but favors daggers over
any other weapon.  A rogue pvp guide explains this in further detail.  Once you have a better understanding as to what you should be doing when facing different opponents, this 80 rogue pvp build can be extremely fun......and extremely annoying to deal with.

Combat is not necessarilly the favored 80 rogue pvp build, but is still a decent choice.  This spec CAN work if used properly, and also if it is your favored spec.  Combat offers decent survivability in 1v1 scenarios against other melee classes.  Most rogue pvp guide would agree with this statement also.  The thing you lack with combat as your 80 rogue pvp build are the little talents that assassination and subtlety bring to the table.
